Occupational Exposure Management Workshop

Due to a booking error by the Hotel Palace Berlin, we have been forced to move the conference venue for Pb2017 to the Crowne Plaza Berlin City Centre Hotel (Nurnberger Strasse 65, 10787 Berlin) which is just a few minutes walk from the Hotel Palace Berlin. This in no way affects the conference or workshop programme.

We apologise for this inconvenience, which is entirely down to a mistake on the part of the Hotel Palace Berlin and which, despite our very best efforts, we have been unable to resolve without moving hotel.

3rd ILA Lead Occupational Exposure Management Workshop
Strategies for meeting new voluntary industry blood lead targets
Crowne Plaza Berlin City Centre,
Germany, 28 June 2017

In preparation for launching a new industry employee blood lead target the International Lead Association will host the Third Lead Occupational Exposure Management Workshop prior to the 20th International Lead Conference (Pb2017).

This important one-day event, co-hosted by EUROBAT, will share best practice through presentations on the practical measures that can be taken to reduce worker blood lead levels and concludes with a facilitated information sharing session to encourage in-depth discussions with fellow EHS professionals.

The sessions are as follows:

  • Background briefing on legislation, science and the current performance of the lead industry
  • Overview of industry performance to meet the end-2016 blood lead target (no employees exceeding 30mcg/dL) and the introduction of the new ILA, EUROBAT and BCI voluntary blood lead reduction target
  • Best practice sharing from companies in the recycling, battery manufacturing and lead sheet industries
  • Tactics for lowering blood leads in long service employees
  • Show & Tell on key topics such as procedural and engineering controls, financial incentive schemes and new employee induction programs
