ELBC 2020 registration goes live next week

Registration for the European Lead Battery Conference goes live next week, say the organizers, the International Lead Association and the Consortium for Battery Innovation, when a full programme of events will also be released.

This year’s ELBC — traditionally reckoned to be the lead battery event of the year — will be conducted as a virtual conference and exhibition due to the COVID crisis. It will take place between September 22 and September 24.

“Although a virtual conference will always be more limited in its format, the good news is that delegates will see the same full programme of presentations as had been originally planned,” says Andy Bush, head of the ILA. The ELBC has a reputation in providing some of the best technical papers on developments in the lead battery industry. “What we’ve done is to recreate as much of the look and feel of the event as we can,” says Bush. “So when everyone logs in to the conference website they will find themselves in the conference lobby, which can then lead them on to three areas — an auditorium, an exhibition and a networking area, where delegates can see who else is present in the virtual room and chat directly with them.”
