ILA member Teck recognised as one of the 2022 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations

Published by Lasker@ila-lead.org 10th March, 2022

ILA member Teck Resources Limited (Teck) has been recognised as one of the 2022 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations, marking the fourth year in a row Teck has been named to the list.

By Lasker@ila-lead.org

The Global 100 companies are selected by Corporate Knights from over 6,900 publicly traded companies with more than $1 billion in revenues. Companies are evaluated using rigorous assessments including sector-specific sustainability metrics, such as clean revenue percentage, water, energy and GHG productivity (e.g., energy-related emissions during production or business travel).

“Teck is committed to providing essential resources the world is counting on to make life better, while caring for people, communities and the environment,” said Don Lindsay, President and CEO. “Our employees are passionate about sustainability and this recognition is the direct result of their hard work and dedication.”

Other metrics taken into account include safety performance, as well as board and executive diversity. Impacting in that area, Teck has also recently been named to the 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI). The GEI recognises companies committed to advancing women in the workplace globally.
