ILA welcomes the latest hybrid electric car to its Paris Conference
The International Lead Association (ILA) will work closely with the Advance Lead Acid Battery Consortium (ALABC) over the coming months, as the Consortium celebrates its 20th anniversary.
At the ILA’s forthcoming European Lead Battery Conference (ELBC), in Paris, ALABC will have its LC Super Hybrid demonstration vehicle on display at the exhibit hall throughout the week, and will be meeting with members of the media and other industry representatives during the event.
The ALABC will also be marking its first 20 years of research and development achievements, at the Paris conference, with a special dinner on Monday, 24 September.
A new ALABC public website, has been launched this month, which includes more comprehensive news and publications areas, an informational section relating to the Consortium’s lead carbon (LC) initiatives, and a special section dedicated to the ALABC’s 20th anniversary activities.
The new site also includes additional overviews on the Consortium’s research programmes and achievements.
Later in the year, at The 2012 Battery Show in Detroit, USA, from 13-15 November, the ALABC will work alongside two ILA members to display the LC Super Hybrid and the retrofitted Honda Civic HEV. Exide Technologies and East Penn Manufacturing have agreed to display the LC Super Hybrid and the Civic respectively at their booths.
This will be the first event in which two ALABC demonstration vehicles will be on display for the general public.
Previous to that in October the ALABC is partnering with Battery Energy Storage Technology (BEST) Magazine to promote a Sino Lead Acid Battery Summit in Beijing, China, 16-18 October. The first day of the event will be a private meeting with Chinese ALABC members to discuss with Consortium management the latest achievements in developing and demonstrating advanced lead-acid batteries.
