Cutting-edge technical programme lined-up for ELBC in Milan
The technical programme at this year’s ELBC in Milan will showcase the latest innovation in lead battery technology and brings together experts from across the globe.
The programme includes the latest in lead battery research and innovation, with leading lead battery experts covering topics such as partial state of charge operations, battery and power management, automotive product and test development, new components for lead batteries and interactive discussions on lead battery fundamentals.
Sessions also include a deep dive into battery energy storage opportunities, with a dedicated workshop and speakers focusing on subjects ranging from improving cycle life in renewable energy storage applications to modular energy storage systems with clean hydrogen.
The conference takes place at the Mico Convention Center in Milan between Monday September 16 and Thursday September 19, and programme and registration details can be found at www.elbcexpo.org
ELBC’s co-organiser Dr Alistair Davidson, Executive Director of the Consortium for Battery Innovation said: “One of the great benefits of ELBC is that we bring together experts from across the industry to share technical knowledge and breakthroughs in lead battery research. We’re going to see a huge increase in battery energy storage opportunities worldwide and this year’s conference will be key to understating both the market opportunities and the technical developments that will have the most impact in the coming years.”
Alongside the technical programme, ELBC’s plenary sessions include the latest updates on global markets and trends.
And two dedicated workshops will focus on the new Batteries Regulation being introduced in Europe and the opportunities for battery energy storage.
Dr Andy Bush, co-organiser and Executive Director of the International Lead Association, said ELBC is unique in that it brings together the whole industry, from manufacturers and lead producers to suppliers.
He said: “By bringing together the entire lead battery value chain we want to ensure that the industry benefits from a better understanding of market and technical trends which will impact in the future. ELBC is a conference organised by the industry, for the industry and this year’s programme comes at a pivotal time with so much change, challenge and opportunity for the lead battery industry worldwide.”
