ELBC Call for Papers Launched
Consortium for Battery Innovation Executive Director Dr Alistair Davidson has issued the call for papers ahead of ELBC, taking place in Vienna, September 15-18, 2026.
In a year when CBI will present its third technical roadmap, Dr Davidson said: “We’re looking forward to reviewing submissions demonstrating the latest breakthroughs in lead battery innovation. As we finalise a new research roadmap with bold targets for the future, the next ELBC program will set a new benchmark—showcasing the full potential of lead batteries and underscoring their essential role in a resilient and sustainable society.”
CBI is seeking papers on a range of topics including multi technology energy storage projects using lead batteries, and lead battery applications for electric vehicle charging stations.
ELBC is the premier lead battery innovation conference jointly organised by CBI and the International Lead Association.

All papers are reviewed by the ELBC technical committee, and successful proposals are included in the conference agenda.
