Pb2025: ILA opens registration for the International Lead Conference in Amsterdam, June 25-27
Registration has opened for the global conference dedicated to the lead industry, Pb2025.
This year’s event, organised by the International Lead Association, takes place in Amsterdam between 25-27 June, and includes workshops on future markets for lead batteries and workplace lead exposure management.
The conference venue is the Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam and early bird rates and preferential accommodation are now available on the conference website: www.pb-conference.com.
The programme includes in-depth updates on:
- Industry and market data and trends
- Regulatory and legislative landscape
- Responsible sourcing and supply
- Lead battery innovations
Speakers at this year’s event include Florian von Steinkellar, Executive General Manager, Glencore; Dr Christian Rosenkranz, Vice President Government and Industrial Relations, EMEA, Clarios; KPMG’s Senior Strategy Consultant, Chihab Boucheffa and Georg Meckl, Vice President of Technical Projects and Decarbonisation, Exide.
Dr Andy Bush, Executive Director of Pb2025 organiser, the International Lead Association, said: “This is a key time for the industry and Pb2025 will include important updates on market conditions for the lead and lead battery industries, as well as regulatory briefings which are vital for anyone included in the lead value chain.
“And given the policy developments in Europe and the impact of global political changes our programme includes speakers assessing the impact of geopolitical pressures from the U.S. to Europe, both the opportunities and the risks they present.
“Pb2025 is the only event of its kind taking in all of the issues affecting the global lead industry.”
Two workshops take place ahead of the main conference – a workplace exposure workshop provides an opportunity to hear the latest information on environmental, health and safety issues including practical updates on workplace lead exposure management.
The Consortium for Battery Innovation’s workshop focuses on two key applications for lead batteries: their role in supporting electric vehicles through auxiliary systems; and their potential in utility and energy storage solutions.
The conference includes extensive networking opportunities, including a welcome reception and conference dinner.
